OUR APPROACH

We notice the moments that make a story.

We’re Ken and Corina Culver, a husband-and-wife photography team. We enjoy photographing the people, places and moments that make each occasion distinctive—from milestone celebrations and portraits to live events, music, properties and the natural world.

Our work is distinguished from others in that we generally shoot as a team, leveraging Ken’s technical skills with Corina’s creative eye and social talents. Events often combine the need to capture specific subject matter while also gathering candid shots of guests. Our complimentary skills allow us to not only get the main subject shots, but also the establishing venue shots, event details, guests and so much more. Once the shoot is concluded, it is our practice to edit every shot intended for delivery. While most photographers look at retouching as an “add-on” service, we will not release a photo until it has been cropped, sized, straightened, corrected for exposure, and where possible cleaned up of distracting elements.

Working together lets us bring complementary perspectives to a session: the planned portrait and the spontaneous moment, the overall scene and the small details that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

Our goal is simple: create photographs that feel genuine, thoughtfully composed and worth returning to.
